5 Great Ways To Stay Active In Austin If You Did Not Have Back Pain 🔥🏊‍💃🏻🕺🎵🎶🏄🚶🏻

Hey guys it’s Stephen Dunn from CORE Therapy & Pilates in Austin, Texas. Today I want to go over a quick little video to talk about 5 amazing things that you can do in Austin If you did not have back pain. One of the common things that we find is that back pain limits people from getting out and getting active and limits people from spending time with their family and doing things. As we approach the summer and it’s getting hot around here, it’s a great time to get out and be active in Austin. I want to go over 5 things you can do in Austin without back pain…

#1: Stand Up Paddle Board on Lady Bird Lake, or Town Lake. Now stand up paddle boarding is really taking over Lady Bird Lake in recent years and it’s become very popular. Anytime you pass over Mopac bridge and looking to either direction down Town Lake on a nice sunny day, you’ll see hundreds and hundreds of paddle boarders. The benefit of paddle boarding is it’s a great balance exercise and it’s great for your core. But if you have back pain, it can definitely become a challenge…

#2: Swim Barton Springs natural pool. Now Barton Springs is really cold, it’s 68 to 70 degrees constantly. It covers about three acres so it’s a very long pool. If you’re a lap swimmer it’s a great place to go and it opens up pretty early in the morning and I believe around five and and it may be open until around 10…

#3: Hike Mount Bonnell. Mount Bonnell is at the top of 99 steps, now there is a rail you can hang on to. It’s the very top of a mountain overlooking Lake Austin and you’re overlooking all these Incredible, beautiful homes. Mount Bonnell is an incredible view. It’s probably one of the highest points in all of Austin and it gives you a really great view of the Hill country of Texas. If you have visitors in town it’s a great place to go because most people don’t realize how hilly and how much terrain there is here in Austin…

#4: Dance at the Broken Spoke. The Broken Spoke is a little honky-tonk and it was voted the best dance Hall in Texas. It’s a great little local place, now one of the greatest stories about the Broken Spoke is that they held out when everyone around them sold. So the Broken Spoke is this little place to see music and all around it is nothing but condos and because it’s in the area on Lamar Street, that is just completely grown and boomed.

#5: Attend Austin City Limits music festival, also known as ACL. Now ACL takes over Austin the first two weekends of October every year and it’s a three day music festival. It’s one of the biggest deals that happens in Austin in the whole entire year. With back pain it’s really hard to go stand around for three days, be in line, dancing and enjoying yourself. If it is not an ACL weekend, head on down to Zilker park anyway and make an afternoon of it. Walk the trail, play some beach volleyball, feed the ducks and go climb on the rock in the center of the park for some great photo ops of downtown.

So that’s my list… The 5 things you can do in Austin without back pain… If you are having back pain, it might be time to do something about it and not just wait for it to go away. Call 512-215-4227 to tell us your story…

That’s all I have for you today. I hope all is well, you all take care and have a fantastic day…
