Have you been told you have adrenal fatigue?
Are you exhausted all of the time?
Fight or Flight? You have heard a little bit about that haven’t you?
Did you know the Pituitary Gland is called the master gland to control the endocrine system?
What is the endocrine system? Let’s answer this one now. The endocrine system is the collection of glands of an organism that secrete hormones directly into the circulatory system to be carried towards distant target organs. The endocrine system includes the adrenal glands, parathyroid gland, pituitary gland, and thyroid gland, as well as the ovaries, pancreas, and testes.
Have the white coats blamed your problem (lack of sleep, exhaustion, mental fog, inability to handle stress, mild depression, overuse of stimulants like coffee, etc…) on any of these structures of the endocrine system? Did they give you a bunch or medication for it?
Let me tell you a quick story!
I had a patient in recently that was in for spinal pain, what I typically treat all day. She was exhausted dealing with her pain, trying to keep up with her demands as a mom and at work… she was so exhausted and frustrated.
“What the hell????” is what she was basically asking me!
I introduced cranial sacral work and began to release her sphenoid bone and her atlas (C-1). After only 10 minutes of the work, she was totally relaxed and in a different world than when she arrived. I explained to her how the pituitary gland hangs from the brain like a little pea and nestles into a groove in the sphenoid bone. When her pelvis and neck were out of alignment, this caused an imbalance at the sphenoid, which affected the pituitary gland.
So her first treatment was aligning her pelvis and releasing the sphenoid and atlas. This improves the flow of CebralSpinal Fluid (CSF) around the brain and spinal cord, essentially improving the chemistry of the whole body as the pituitary gland starts functioning properly again.
She emailed the next day saying…
“What on earth happened yesterday?! Your pituitary gland work was so magical that I slept like the dead last night. I literally couldn’t recall what day it was when I woke up this morning and I swore it was my husband’s alarm going off and not mine. I was so out of sorts and could have slept for hours more!!! That’s some crazy stuff….”
I cant wait to see how she responds to the whole hour of cranial work we did on her second visit, adding work to the temporal bones and TMJ!!!
