How long does it take to schedule a back pain evaluation for physical therapy at CORE Therapy and Pilates?

We schedule most of our new evaluations within 24-48 hours of the initial call with us. We totally get it that you want to get in fast to get your back pain resolved as quickly as possible.

Does physical therapy help back pain? 

We have been serving the Westlake Hills / Austin community since 2005 and have seen many patients get better from back pain with physical therapy at CORE Therapy & Pilates. We follow a framework called the 4 Stages of Recovery. We perform a thorough evaluation of your back pain with one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy and outline how to progress you from stage 1 to 4.

How long is each physical therapy session?

Physical therapy treatment sessions are around 55 minutes in length. After the evaluation by the physical therapist, the plan of care will be determined to establish the frequency of visits per week and how many weeks the plan of care should take to complete. Each person and their specific injury and goals will determine the plan of care.

Stephen was a LSU graduate in 1998 who became licensed physical therapist  in Texas in 2004. Stephen started his PT business in 2001 in California and then moved to Austin with his Texan wife, Cheryl.

Dr Andy moved to Florida from Taiwan in 2014 to complete his education. He graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL in 2017 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees. After working in NYC for several years, he decided to move to Austin to further his education in Pilates and Gyrotonic Exercise at CORE Therapy & Pilates.
