Those dedicated morning workouts and steady movement habits often fall victim to travel, cooking marathon sessions, and packed family schedules. Here at CORE Therapy &amp; Pilates, we believe you shouldn&#8217;t have to sacrifice all your hard-earned progress.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The secret to moving better through the holidays isn&#8217;t finding two hours for the gym—it&#8217;s incorporating simple, intentional movement into your day.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. The Stability Check (Before the Turkey!)</strong></h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Good stability is your body’s foundation, and a strong sense of <strong>balance</strong> is your best defense against seasonal slips and falls. Before you start cooking or entertaining, take just 5 minutes to practice your balance. Try the <strong>Single-Leg Stance </strong>while you brush your teeth or wash dishes. This trains the crucial micro-muscles that stop a stumble from becoming a trip.</p>

Instead of trying to squeeze in one long gym session, schedule three <strong>10-minute &#8220;Micro-Walks&#8221;</strong> throughout the day: before cooking, after the meal, and before dessert. This aids digestion, keeps your joints mobile, and maintains metabolic function without requiring special planning. Get the whole family involved!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Kitchen Counter Push-Ups</strong></h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Use the time waiting for your coffee or microwave to perform <strong>10 Wall Push-Ups. </strong>Use the counter or wall for support. This simple strength move engages your core and strengthens the wrists and shoulders—the exact areas often injured if you were to fall. It’s an easy way to build resilience while standing still.</p>

Studio 512 wanted to showcase our business and asked us to come on live just before the big rain on Tuesday. It was really exciting to see the weatherman do his thing as it was about to start raining buckets outside.</p>

<p>We watched a few interesting segments and then at 7:50a we were live. Cheryl was mic’ed up and she led Stephanie and I through a few exercises that are easy to reproduce at home.</p>
<p>First some breathing to get deep in your belly and using your daphragm. Then some spinal extension exercises on your hands and knees and on your stomach. This is great to offset all the sitting and forward flexion we live so much of our life in.</p>
<p>The 5 minute segment went by in a flash and we were heading back to CORE for a day of clients… I got lucky and didn’t have to say a word, just listen to Cheryl and do what she instructed… It was really fun and here are some pictures.</p>
