1 Year Post Covid Lockdown Report for CORE Therapy and Pilates

Can you believe it's been a year since the world shut down? It's been a year and a week since we shut down here in Austin. Last year, we were driving to Colorado for a ski trip for spring break.

We made it to Crested Butte to hang out for four hours only to turn around and drive home because the world was shutting down. No idea what was about to happen to our business.

We didn’t know what was about to happen anywhere, it was just absolutely crazy. We drove home on Sunday and got home on Monday. In that time, it shifted our entire business.  And we shifted our entire business in about 48-hour window to become virtual.

We’re a Physical Therapy clinic and a Pilates studio. It wasn’t easy to go virtual. But I wanted to say we have survived the year. We’ve all made it through our businesses.

Now, our business is not the same as it was before COVID. But we are still here. I'm so grateful and thankful for each and every one of you who helped us and supported us through virtual Pilates classes, through telehealth for physical therapy, through our Pilates to thrive, membership videos on demand site, and for the people that came in once we had a safe way to reopen.

I just want to thank each and every one of you all. It’s been a crazy year and here we are on the back end of this. It’s very surreal that a year has passed.

So, my family spent a quick trip to visit my family outside of New Orleans because my dad had been on locked down and going through some cancer treatment for about a year and a half. It was just very strange. But here we are, we’re back.

The studio is open, we are socially distanced, we have space for all of our Pilates equipment but we are still offering virtual Pilates and Physical Therapy

Our videos are on demand, membership site is still available for monthly videos that you can watch at home. But we're just so grateful for all of you and the things that we have changed over the course of time through COVID.

Other than what I just mentioned, now we're offering a Concierge Physical Therapy where we can come to you; we can come to your home if you're not ready to get out into the public.

We can come treat you at your house, at your workplace, at the gym, at the park or wherever. We are also billing Medicare. So, I've been open here since 2005 and we've never built Medicare.  We’ve just started billing Medicare and we're also building out a network for anyone that has private insurance.

You would still pay us but we would bill for you and you would get credit towards your deductible or you would get reimbursed from your insurance company. These are some of the things that we haven't done that we're doing to adjust to the post COVID world.

Again, thank you for everyone who has supported us, even if it was through just liking our content on Facebook and YouTube.

If you have any questions or comments, put them below I'd love to answer them. If you have any content that you're looking to learn more about, let me know I'd love to talk about it.
